Turkenlouis Oriental Poppy

Papaver orientale 'Türkenlouis'

Plant Details:

Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Papaveraceae
Plant Description: This clump forming herbaceous perennial has large, brilliant orange-red flowers with black centers that bloom in late-spring to mid-summer. The papery petals are deeply cut, giving them a fringed appearance. The light green leaves are hairy and sharply lobed. The leaves go dormant after flowering, to help the plants survive late summer drought, and reappear again in the fall.

Maintenance:

Maintenance Type: Perennial - Evergreen
