Fruit Tree Budding

Budding is a type of grafting and is a propagation technique used by plant and fruit producers to put desirable trees on hardy roots. Budding can also be practiced by the home gardener and can be a source of pleasure, satisfaction, and usefulness to the hobbyist. In this fun and hands-on workshop, each participant will receive two apple rootstocks and fruit scion wood to bud together and take home to grow. Apple wood will be used in this course, however, the techniques described will work for many fruit and ornamental plants. You will be able to bud and take home 2 trees. Please join us for this fun, hands-on workshop and learn the technique of budding!
