Single Apricot Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum 'Single Apricot'

Plant Details:

Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Asteraceae
Plant Description: A compact, mounded perennial, this chrysanthemum is at its most beautiful just before frost. Profuse daisy-like blooms appear in October and glow with rays in a soft apricot hue with yellow centers. It prefers plenty of moisture and organic soils but will tolerate and bloom in less than optimal conditions. The leaves are dark green and lobed with a distinct aroma when touched.

Maintenance:

Maintenance Type: Perennial - Herbaceous
Plant Care: Perennial - Herbaceous (soft-stemmed plants that die back in winter and regrow in spring): Remove spent blooms to promote rebloom later. Some plants tend to flop over after the first bloom and attempt to regrow from the base; in these cases, the old stems can be cut away in summer. As plants become dormant in the fall, remove dead leaves and stems.
