Starting vegetable and flower seeds at home is easier and less expensive than you may imagine. By starting your own, you’ll be able to grow heirloom vegetables or unusual flowers that will set your garden apart. It’s also a great way for homeowners on a budget to fill their landscapes with desirable plants without breaking the bank! We’ll be learning how to create and indoor seed growing station from Master Gardener and long-time home garden guru Fred Eldridge. Fred will show us how to plant, nurture and “pot up” little seedlings. He’ll also help us know when to start the different kinds of seeds and which methods work best for the various types of plants. Whether you just want to grow some fun tomatoes or enough plants to fill your landscape, you’ll get all the info to do it right at this class! This class is part of the Jordan Valley Home & Garden Club schedule. The Club seeks to help build the do-it-yourself skills of homeowners and classes are taught by local experts. Membership in the Club is free and members may attend as many or as few classes as interest them. More information about the Club can be found on their blog at http://club.conservationgardenpark.org. This class will be held at the Education Center of the Conservation Garden Park at 8275 S. 1300 W., West Jordan, UT.
