Plant Description: Upright-growing medium-sized evergreen tree. Blue-green needles are 1.5 to 3.5 inches long and are borne in bundles of five. Smooth gray bark fissures with age. Stems and branches are flexible hence the botanical name. Tolerant of drought and varying soil conditions. Requires well-drained soils. Avoid placing in lawn areas. Great evergreen valued for its color and conical shape.
Plant Care: Light pruning is required to maintain desired shape and to avoid branching problems such as double-leader stems. Evergreen trees can be difficult to establish. Be sure to provide adequate water for the first two or three years. Monitor for pests and diseases.
