Plant Details:
Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Malvaceae
Plant Description: Low mounds of large leathery leaves shoot up tall, sturdy stalks of white blossoms in the summer months. These flowers have a similar texture and transparency as crepe paper and make good cut flowers. The soft white petals lead down to a chartreuse to light green eye. Due to their tall size during blooming season they are ideal for small back borders and screens, as well as pollinator gardens and planting beds that are in need of height.
Maintenance:
Maintenance Type: Perennial - Herbaceous
Plant Care: Perennial - Herbaceous (soft-stemmed plants that die back in winter and regrow in spring): Remove spent blooms to promote rebloom later. Some plants tend to flop over after the first bloom and attempt to regrow from the base; in these cases, the old stems can be cut away in summer. As plants become dormant in the fall, remove dead leaves and stems.
