Sunset Hyssop

Agastache rupestris

Plant Details:

Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Lamiaceae
Plant Description: Upright growing fragrant perennial with a wispy look. Long-lasting bright orange-red blooms begin in mid-summer and last until the first freeze. Gray-green foliage emits a distinct root beer or licorice fragrance depending on your nose. Attractive to hummingbirds. Very drought tolerant but will use the water if it is available.
Plant Care: Overall needs will be reduced when plants are placed in areas where the soil, climate and exposure match the plant requirements. Remove spent blooms to promote rebloom later. As plants become dormant in the fall, remove dead leaves and stems.
